Macro Oil & Water Photography

Anyone new to photography will want to try the technique of shooting oil and water. As every single image will be different, the possibility of a capturing a few beautiful shots is good. One of the earliest photo tutorials I read about encouraged me to set up a photoshoot in my bedroom with cans of soda stacked, a piece of glass, pyrex bowl, desk lamp, and of course a Macro Lens.

GenreCharacteristics: Abstractshapes,colorful,structured,controlled,freeform,backlit,patterned, floating,separated.

Below are 3 Photographers that use Oil and Water in different ways, this is a very popular Trend when it comes to macro photography lately.

Play with depth of field. By using a wider aperture, you will get blurred and soft backgrounds. However, if you use the smallest aperture value and your drops have some relief (using the dish soap method), you will be able to get the photograph with the background reflected on each oil drop ~T
